Description
A quick and flavorful vegan dish with crispy chickpeas coated in a sticky sesame glaze.
Ingredients

- 1 can (15 oz) chickpeas, drained and rinsed
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp maple syrup
- 1 tbsp rice vinegar
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp grated ginger
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 1 tbsp water
- 1 tbsp sesame seeds
- 2 tbsp chopped green onions
Instructions
- Heat sesame oil in a pan over medium heat.
- Add chickpeas and cook until crispy, about 5 minutes.
- In a bowl, mix soy sauce, maple syrup, rice vinegar, garlic, and ginger.
- Pour the sauce over the chickpeas and stir to coat.
- Mix cornstarch and water, then add to the pan to thicken the sauce.
- Cook for 2 more minutes until sticky.
- Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions.
Notes
- Use low-sodium soy sauce if preferred.
- Add chili flakes for extra heat.
- Serve over rice or as a salad topping.
