Ingredients

- 2 cups vital wheat gluten
- 1/4 cup nutritional yeast
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 cup vegetable broth
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 cup BBQ sauce
Instructions
- Mix vital wheat gluten, nutritional yeast, smoked paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder in a bowl.
- Add vegetable broth, soy sauce, and olive oil. Knead into a dough.
- Shape the dough into rib-like strips and steam for 30 minutes.
- Brush with BBQ sauce and bake at 375°F for 20 minutes.
- Serve hot with extra BBQ sauce.
Notes
- Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 3 days.
- For extra crispiness, broil for 2-3 minutes after baking.
- Use gluten-free BBQ sauce if needed.
