Description

A refreshing and healthy salad combining fresh strawberries, spinach, and a tangy dressing.


Ingredients

  • 10 ounces fresh spinach, rinsed and dried
  • 1 quart fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • 1/4 cup red onion, thinly sliced
  • 1/4 cup chopped pecans or walnuts
  • 2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon honey or maple syrup
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the spinach, sliced strawberries, red onion, and pecans.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together the balsamic vinegar, olive oil, Dijon mustard, and honey.
  3. Pour the dressing over the salad and toss gently to combine.
  4. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Serve immediately.
