Description
These strawberry hand pies are a delightful and easy-to-make treat. Flaky pastry pockets filled with sweet strawberry jam, perfect for a quick snack or dessert.

- 1 (14.1 ounce) package refrigerated pie crusts
- 1/2 cup strawberry jam
- 1 large egg, beaten
- 1 tablespoon turbinado sugar
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Unroll pie crusts onto a lightly floured surface. Cut each crust into 4 equal squares.
- Spoon 1 tablespoon of strawberry jam onto the center of each square.
- Fold one corner of each square over the jam to form a triangle. Press the edges firmly to seal. You can use a fork to crimp the edges for a decorative seal.
- Place the hand pies on the prepared baking sheet. Brush the tops of the pies with the beaten egg and sprinkle with turbinado sugar.
- Bake for 15-18 minutes, or until golden brown and puffed.
- Let cool on a wire rack before serving.
Notes
- You can use any fruit jam you prefer for the filling.
- For a richer color, you can add a few drops of red food coloring to the jam.
