Description

Sweet and savory strawberry bruschetta, perfect as an appetizer or light dessert.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 baguette, sliced into 1/2-inch rounds
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, diced
  • 2 tablespoons balsamic glaze
  • 4 ounces goat cheese, softened
  • 2 tablespoons fresh basil, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • Pinch of black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Arrange baguette slices on a baking sheet. Brush lightly with olive oil.
  3. Bake for 8-10 minutes, or until lightly golden and toasted.
  4. In a small bowl, combine diced strawberries, balsamic glaze, basil, honey, and black pepper. Stir gently.
  5. Spread softened goat cheese evenly over each toasted baguette slice.
  6. Top each bruschetta with the strawberry mixture.
  7. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, you can lightly toast the basil before chopping.
  • If you don’t have balsamic glaze, you can reduce balsamic vinegar in a saucepan until it thickens.
  • Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 1 day, but they are best enjoyed fresh.
