Description

Pan-seared sea bass fillets glazed with a savory soy and garlic sauce. This dish is quick to prepare and full of flavor.


Ingredients

  • 2 (6 ounce) sea bass fillets
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons reduced-sodium soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh cilantro for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Pat the sea bass fillets dry with paper towels. Season both sides with pepper.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large non-stick skillet over medium-high heat. Add the sea bass and cook for 3-4 minutes per side, until golden brown and cooked through. Remove the sea bass from the skillet and set aside.
  3. In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, honey, ginger, and minced garlic.
  4. Pour the sauce into the same skillet and bring to a simmer over medium heat. Cook for 1-2 minutes, stirring constantly, until the sauce thickens slightly.
  5. Return the sea bass fillets to the skillet and spoon the glaze over them, ensuring both sides are coated.
  6. Serve immediately, garnished with fresh cilantro if desired.
