Ingredients
Scale
- 2 (6 ounce) sea bass fillets
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 tablespoons reduced-sodium soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh cilantro for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Pat the sea bass fillets dry with paper towels. Season both sides with pepper.
- Heat olive oil in a large non-stick skillet over medium-high heat. Add the sea bass and cook for 3-4 minutes per side, until golden brown and cooked through. Remove the sea bass from the skillet and set aside.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, honey, ginger, and minced garlic.
- Pour the sauce into the same skillet and bring to a simmer over medium heat. Cook for 1-2 minutes, stirring constantly, until the sauce thickens slightly.
- Return the sea bass fillets to the skillet and spoon the glaze over them, ensuring both sides are coated.
- Serve immediately, garnished with fresh cilantro if desired.
Notes
- Adjust the amount of honey to your sweetness preference.
- For extra spice, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the sauce.
- Serve with steamed rice and your favorite stir-fried vegetables for a complete meal.
