Description

These salted caramel protein bites are a healthy, no-bake treat that’s perfect for a quick snack or dessert. They’re packed with protein and have a delicious sweet and salty flavor.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup pitted dates
  • 1/2 cup rolled oats
  • 1/4 cup protein powder (vanilla or caramel flavored)
  • 2 tablespoons almond butter
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon sea salt, plus extra for sprinkling
  • 12 tablespoons water (if needed)

Instructions

  1. Combine dates, oats, protein powder, almond butter, maple syrup, vanilla extract, and sea salt in a food processor.
  2. Blend until the mixture forms a sticky dough. If the mixture is too dry, add water one tablespoon at a time until it comes together.
  3. Roll the dough into 1-inch balls.
  4. Sprinkle with additional sea salt, if desired.
  5. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to firm up.

Notes

  • Store these protein bites in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week.
  • You can customize these bites by adding different mix-ins like chocolate chips, chopped nuts, or shredded coconut.
  • For a richer caramel flavor, use a caramel-flavored protein powder.
