Description

This recipe guides you through creating a delicious salmon dish with a sweet and savory honey garlic glaze. It is simple enough for a weeknight meal but elegant enough for a special occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 salmon fillets (about 6 ounces each)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger (optional)
  • Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels. Season both sides with salt and pepper.
  3. In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, minced garlic, soy sauce, lemon juice, and grated ginger (if using).
  4. Place the salmon fillets on the prepared baking sheet.
  5. Brush about half of the honey garlic glaze over the top of each salmon fillet.
  6. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
  7. During the last 2-3 minutes of baking, brush the remaining glaze over the salmon.
  8. Garnish with fresh chopped parsley, if desired, and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Adjust the amount of garlic and ginger to your preference.
  • For extra crispiness, you can broil the salmon for the last minute or two, watching carefully to prevent burning.
  • This dish pairs well with roasted vegetables, rice, or a fresh salad.
