Description
This recipe guides you through creating a delicious salmon dish with a sweet and savory honey garlic glaze. It is simple enough for a weeknight meal but elegant enough for a special occasion.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 salmon fillets (about 6 ounces each)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
- 1/4 cup honey
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger (optional)
- Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels. Season both sides with salt and pepper.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, minced garlic, soy sauce, lemon juice, and grated ginger (if using).
- Place the salmon fillets on the prepared baking sheet.
- Brush about half of the honey garlic glaze over the top of each salmon fillet.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
- During the last 2-3 minutes of baking, brush the remaining glaze over the salmon.
- Garnish with fresh chopped parsley, if desired, and serve immediately.
Notes
- Adjust the amount of garlic and ginger to your preference.
- For extra crispiness, you can broil the salmon for the last minute or two, watching carefully to prevent burning.
- This dish pairs well with roasted vegetables, rice, or a fresh salad.
