Description

Juicy ribeye steak cooked to perfection and served with savory sautéed mushrooms. This dish is simple yet elegant, perfect for a weeknight meal or a special occasion.


Ingredients

  • 2 (10-ounce) ribeye steaks
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 pound cremini mushrooms, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Pat the ribeye steaks dry with paper towels. Season both sides generously with salt and black pepper.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering.
  3. Sear the steaks for 3-5 minutes per side for medium-rare, or longer for desired doneness. Remove steaks from the skillet and let rest on a cutting board, tented with foil.
  4. In the same skillet, add the sliced mushrooms. Cook, stirring occasionally, until the mushrooms release their liquid and start to brown, about 5-7 minutes.
  5. Add the minced garlic and butter to the skillet with the mushrooms. Cook for another 2-3 minutes, until the garlic is fragrant and the butter is melted.
  6. Season the mushrooms with salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Slice the rested ribeye steaks against the grain and serve immediately with the sautéed mushrooms.

  • For extra flavor, add fresh thyme or rosemary sprigs to the skillet with the butter and garlic.
