Description

Mint Chocolate Chip Balls are a delightful no-bake treat combining the refreshing taste of mint with rich chocolate chips. They are easy to make and perfect for a quick dessert or snack.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 1/2 cups chocolate cookie crumbs
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon peppermint extract
  • 1 cup mini chocolate chips
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips (for coating, optional)
  • 2 tablespoons coconut oil (for coating, optional)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the chocolate cookie crumbs, powdered sugar, cocoa powder, and salt.
  2. Add the melted butter, milk, and peppermint extract. Mix until well combined.
  3. Stir in the mini chocolate chips.
  4. Roll the mixture into 1-inch balls.
  5. Place the balls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  6. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or until firm.
  7. If coating, melt the white chocolate chips and coconut oil in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals, stirring until smooth.
  8. Dip each ball into the melted white chocolate, allowing excess to drip off.
  9. Return the coated balls to the parchment-lined baking sheet.
  10. Refrigerate again until the coating is set.

Notes

  • Store Mint Chocolate Chip Balls in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.
  • You can use other types of cookies for the crumbs, such as vanilla wafers, for a different flavor profile.
  • For a stronger mint flavor, add a few drops of green food coloring to the mixture.
  • These balls can be frozen for up to 1 month. Thaw in the refrigerator before serving.
