Description
Magic Cookie Bars, also known as 7-Layer Bars, are a dessert made with a graham cracker crust and topped with chocolate chips, butterscotch chips, coconut, pecans, and sweetened condensed milk.

- 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted
- 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- 1 cup butterscotch chips
- 1 1/3 cups shredded sweetened coconut
- 1 cup chopped pecans
- 1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9×13 inch baking pan with parchment paper, leaving an overhang on the sides.
- In a medium bowl, combine melted butter and graham cracker crumbs. Press the mixture evenly into the bottom of the prepared pan.
- Sprinkle the chocolate chips over the crust.
- Sprinkle the butterscotch chips over the chocolate chips.
- Evenly distribute the shredded coconut over the chips.
- Sprinkle the chopped pecans over the coconut.
- Pour the sweetened condensed milk evenly over the entire pan.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and the center is set.
- Let cool completely on a wire rack before cutting into bars.
Notes
- For easier cutting, chill the bars in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before slicing.
- Store leftover bars in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days, or in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.
- You can customize these bars with other toppings like white chocolate chips, M&M’s, or walnuts.
