Description

This recipe features succulent shrimp coated in a rich honey garlic butter sauce. It’s quick, easy, and bursting with flavor, perfect for a weeknight meal or a special occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1.5 pounds large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Pat the shrimp dry with paper towels.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Add the shrimp to the skillet and cook for 1-2 minutes per side, until pink and opaque. Remove shrimp from the skillet and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, add minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  5. Stir in honey, low-sodium soy sauce, unsalted butter, lemon juice, and red pepper flakes (if using). Bring the sauce to a simmer and cook for 2-3 minutes, until slightly thickened.
  6. Return the cooked shrimp to the skillet and toss to coat evenly with the sauce.
  7. Garnish with fresh chopped parsley and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Serve honey garlic butter shrimp over rice, pasta, or with crusty bread to soak up the delicious sauce.
  • For a spicier kick, increase the amount of red pepper flakes.
  • You can prepare the sauce ahead of time and store it in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
