Description

This recipe features pan-seared salmon fillets with a flavorful garlic herb seasoning. It is quick to prepare and perfect for a healthy weeknight meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 (6 ounce) salmon fillets, skin on or off
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon fresh dill, chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 lemon, cut into wedges, for serving

Instructions

  1. Pat the salmon fillets dry with a paper towel.
  2. In a small bowl, combine the minced garlic, chopped parsley, chopped dill, dried oregano, salt, and black pepper.
  3. Rub the herb mixture evenly over both sides of the salmon fillets.
  4. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  5. Once the oil is shimmering, carefully place the salmon fillets, skin-side down if applicable, into the hot skillet.
  6. Cook for 4-5 minutes per side, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
  7. Remove the salmon from the skillet and serve immediately with lemon wedges.

Notes

  • Adjust cooking time based on the thickness of your salmon fillets.
  • For extra flavor, marinate the salmon in the herb mixture for 15-20 minutes before cooking.
  • This dish pairs well with roasted vegetables or a simple green salad.
