A comforting casserole combining French onion flavors with chicken and orzo.
Ingredients

- 2 cups cooked orzo
- 2 cups shredded chicken
- 2 cups caramelized onions
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 cup shredded Gruyère cheese
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp thyme
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F.
- Mix orzo, chicken, onions, broth, cream, and seasonings in a bowl.
- Transfer to a greased baking dish.
- Top with cheese.
- Bake for 25 minutes until bubbly.
- Broil for 2 minutes to brown cheese.
Notes
- Caramelize onions slowly for best flavor.
- Substitute vegetable broth for beef broth if preferred.
