Ingredients

- 4 large sweet onions, thinly sliced
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, cut into small pieces
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Layer half of the sliced onions in a greased baking dish.
- Dot with half of the butter pieces.
- Sprinkle half of the cheddar and mozzarella cheese on top.
- Repeat layers with remaining onions, butter, and cheese.
- Season with garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until onions are tender and cheese is bubbly.
- Serve hot.
Notes
- Use Vidalia onions for a sweeter taste.
- Add a sprinkle of breadcrumbs for extra texture.
- Refrigerate leftovers for up to 3 days.
