Description

These Chocolate Peanut Butter Pretzel Balls are a quick and easy no-bake treat, perfect for satisfying sweet and salty cravings. They feature a creamy peanut butter filling with crunchy pretzels, all coated in rich melted chocolate.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 3 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups crushed pretzels
  • 12 ounces chocolate chips (milk, semi-sweet, or dark)
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable shortening or coconut oil (optional, for smoother coating)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, cream together the peanut butter and softened butter until well combined.
  2. Gradually add the powdered sugar, mixing until a thick dough forms.
  3. Stir in the crushed pretzels until evenly distributed throughout the mixture.
  4. Roll the mixture into 1-inch balls and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  5. Refrigerate the balls for at least 30 minutes to firm up.
  6. In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the chocolate chips with the shortening (if using) in 30-second intervals, stirring until smooth.
  7. Dip each chilled peanut butter ball into the melted chocolate, coating completely. Use a fork or a toothpick to help.
  8. Place the chocolate-covered balls back on the parchment-lined baking sheet.
  9. Refrigerate again until the chocolate is set, about 15-30 minutes.

Notes

  • For extra crunch, sprinkle some additional crushed pretzels on top of the chocolate before it sets.
  • Store these treats in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week.
  • You can use different types of chocolate for the coating, such as white chocolate or a mix of chocolates.
  • If the peanut butter mixture is too sticky, add a little more powdered sugar. If it’s too dry, add a touch more peanut butter.
