Description

A quick and easy one-pan Chinese beef and broccoli dish that tastes just like take-out.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb flank steak, sliced thin
  • 3 cups broccoli florets
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp ginger, grated
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1/2 cup beef broth
  • 1 tsp sesame oil

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a large pan over medium-high heat.
  2. Add beef slices and cook until browned, about 3 minutes. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same pan, add garlic and ginger, cook for 30 seconds.
  4. Add broccoli and stir-fry for 2 minutes.
  5. Mix soy sauce, brown sugar, cornstarch, and beef broth in a bowl.
  6. Pour sauce into the pan and stir until thickened.
  7. Return beef to the pan and toss everything together.
  8. Drizzle with sesame oil and serve hot.

Notes

  • Slice beef against the grain for tenderness.
  • Adjust soy sauce based on salt preference.
  • For crispier broccoli, blanch before stir-frying.
