Description

A hearty and comforting casserole with layers of seasoned ground beef, tender potatoes, and melted cheese.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 4 medium potatoes, peeled and thinly sliced
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1/2 cup beef broth

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F.
  2. Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  3. Add onions and garlic, cook until soft.
  4. Add ground beef, salt, pepper, and paprika. Cook until browned.
  5. Layer half the potatoes in a baking dish.
  6. Spread half the beef mixture over the potatoes.
  7. Repeat layers.
  8. Pour beef broth over the top.
  9. Cover with foil and bake for 45 minutes.
  10. Remove foil, sprinkle cheese on top, and bake for 15 more minutes.

Notes

  • Let it rest for 5 minutes before serving.
