Description

A creamy and cheesy broccoli casserole that’s easy to make and perfect for family dinners.


Ingredients

  • 4 cups fresh broccoli florets
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Steam broccoli florets until tender, about 5 minutes. Drain and set aside.
  3. Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat.
  4. Whisk in flour and cook for 1 minute.
  5. Gradually add milk, stirring constantly until thickened.
  6. Remove from heat and stir in sour cream, salt, and pepper.
  7. Mix steamed broccoli with the sauce and half the cheese.
  8. Transfer mixture to a baking dish.
  9. Sprinkle remaining cheese and breadcrumbs on top.
  10. Bake for 20 minutes or until bubbly and golden.
