Ingredients

  • 2 large eggs

  • 1/2 cup (60g) all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup (170g) chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together melted butter and granulated sugar until smooth.
  3. Beat in eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla extract.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together cocoa powder, flour, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Gradually add dry ingredients to wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  6. Fold in chocolate chips, if using.
  7. Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto prepared baking sheets, leaving space between cookies.
  8. Bake for 9-11 minutes, or until edges are set and centers are still slightly soft.
  9. Let cookies cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
