Description

This recipe makes sweet, crispy French toast on your Blackstone griddle. It is perfect for breakfast or brunch.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 slices of thick-cut bread (like brioche or challah)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • Pinch of salt
  • 2 tablespoons butter or margarine, for griddle
  • Maple syrup, for serving
  • Powdered sugar, for dusting (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a shallow dish, whisk together the eggs, milk, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and salt.
  2. Heat your Blackstone griddle to medium heat and add butter or margarine.
  3. Dip each slice of bread into the egg mixture, making sure both sides are coated. Do not let it soak too long.
  4. Place the coated bread slices on the hot griddle.
  5. Cook for 2-3 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked through.
  6. Remove the French toast from the griddle and serve immediately with maple syrup and powdered sugar, if desired.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, you can add a pinch of nutmeg to the egg mixture.
  • Use day-old bread for best results, as it absorbs the egg mixture better without becoming soggy.
  • Adjust the griddle temperature as needed to prevent burning.
