Description
This recipe makes sweet, crispy French toast on your Blackstone griddle. It is perfect for breakfast or brunch.
Ingredients
Scale
- 6 slices of thick-cut bread (like brioche or challah)
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- Pinch of salt
- 2 tablespoons butter or margarine, for griddle
- Maple syrup, for serving
- Powdered sugar, for dusting (optional)
Instructions
- In a shallow dish, whisk together the eggs, milk, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and salt.
- Heat your Blackstone griddle to medium heat and add butter or margarine.
- Dip each slice of bread into the egg mixture, making sure both sides are coated. Do not let it soak too long.
- Place the coated bread slices on the hot griddle.
- Cook for 2-3 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked through.
- Remove the French toast from the griddle and serve immediately with maple syrup and powdered sugar, if desired.
Notes
- For extra flavor, you can add a pinch of nutmeg to the egg mixture.
- Use day-old bread for best results, as it absorbs the egg mixture better without becoming soggy.
- Adjust the griddle temperature as needed to prevent burning.
