Description

Crispy baked zucchini fries, a healthy alternative to traditional fries.


Ingredients

  • 2 medium zucchinis
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Wash and trim the ends of the zucchinis. Cut each zucchini in half lengthwise, then cut each half into fry-shaped sticks, about 1/2 inch thick.
  3. In a medium bowl, toss the zucchini sticks with olive oil until evenly coated.
  4. In a separate shallow dish, combine breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  5. Dredge each zucchini stick in the breadcrumb mixture, pressing gently to ensure it’s fully coated.
  6. Arrange the coated zucchini fries in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
  7. Bake for 15-20 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and crispy.
  8. Serve immediately with your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

  • For extra crispiness, you can broil the fries for the last 1-2 minutes, watching carefully to prevent burning.
  • Adjust seasonings to your preference.
