Description
Crispy baked zucchini fries, a healthy alternative to traditional fries.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 medium zucchinis
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and black pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Wash and trim the ends of the zucchinis. Cut each zucchini in half lengthwise, then cut each half into fry-shaped sticks, about 1/2 inch thick.
- In a medium bowl, toss the zucchini sticks with olive oil until evenly coated.
- In a separate shallow dish, combine breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Dredge each zucchini stick in the breadcrumb mixture, pressing gently to ensure it’s fully coated.
- Arrange the coated zucchini fries in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and crispy.
- Serve immediately with your favorite dipping sauce.
Notes
- For extra crispiness, you can broil the fries for the last 1-2 minutes, watching carefully to prevent burning.
- Adjust seasonings to your preference.
- These fries are best served fresh.
