These baked strawberry donuts are a delightful and easy-to-make treat. They are soft, fluffy, and bursting with fresh strawberry flavor, perfect for breakfast or a sweet snack.

- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 large egg
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup finely diced fresh strawberries
- 1 cup powdered sugar (for glaze)
- 2–3 tablespoons milk (for glaze)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a donut pan.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- In a separate medium bowl, whisk together the egg, milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined. Do not overmix.
- Gently fold in the finely diced fresh strawberries.
- Spoon or pipe the batter into the prepared donut pan, filling each cavity about two-thirds full.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the donuts are golden brown and a toothpick inserted into one comes out clean.
- Remove the donuts from the oven and let them cool in the pan for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
- While the donuts cool, prepare the glaze. In a small bowl, whisk together the powdered sugar and milk until smooth. Add more milk if needed to reach your desired consistency.
- Once the donuts are completely cool, dip each donut into the glaze, allowing any excess to drip off.
- Let the glaze set before serving.
Notes
- For best results, use fresh, ripe strawberries.
- Do not overmix the batter, as this can result in tough donuts.
- If you do not have a donut pan, you can bake these in a muffin tin for donut holes. Adjust baking time accordingly.
- Store leftover donuts in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2-3 days.
